Requesting a Community

B2SHARE does not currently support user-created communities via the UI. Instead, communities are created by the B2SHARE team upon request.

To request a community:

1. Submit a request (formal process to be defined).
2. The B2SHARE team will prepare a metadata schema and upload a logo.
3. A community will be created by a user with the b2share-admin role.
4. The b2share-admin will be the Owner of the community.

Only the b2share-admin can delete communities or change their unique identifiers. Once the community is created, Admins and Managers can take over the operational management.

The previous CLI-based process for creating communities (creating schemas and initializing via CLI) is deprecated and will be replaced by an admin-supported workflow.
